SDCFOA Information Update - Steve Coover - January 31, 2024

It is with a heavy heart that I share with you the sad news of the passing of our own John McDade.  John suffered a heart attack several weeks ago, went in for major heart surgery last Wednesday, and never recovered from the many complications he experienced post-surgery.  He passed away this morning in peace with his family by his side.  We will all remember and miss his deep friendship and love for the game of football.  He was a great crew member and a wonderful umpire, who got so many of us involved in the production of the Holiday Bowl.  He lived a full and successful life, and we are all better off for having him as a good friend!  God Bless John! - Steve Coover
