Calibration Plays

The following plays were selected by Steve Coover, Instructional Chair, or sent in by a crew chief for review. The Crew Chiefs, Instructors and College Officials are sent a survey to evaluate the plays. The results are included at the end of each play.

Please remember we chose difficult plays for calibration.  If you must take several minutes viewing the play to see what is discussed here don’t feel like you’re not improving.  It takes time and multiple opportunities to start to see the action with clarity and detail.

Instructional Plays

The following plays were selected by Steve Coover, Instructional Chair, or sent in by a crew chief or coaches for review. They are evaluated by the Instructional Chair. The members go over these plays in the instructional meetings.

Rules Study Group

The weekly Zoom meetings will go over the topics listed, rules, casebook plays and mini quizzes that are sent out prior to the meeting. The meetings include a veteran crew chief/instructor. Various other topics regarding officiating will be covered by current and former crew chiefs. Hosted by Katie Ott.
